The Legislative Branch is composed of 10 appointed officers and 41 student leaders  elected by the student body each year. Senate is led by the Vice President, and other officers including the Chair Pro-Tempore and several committee chairs.  

The senate body consists of 1 academic senator representing each of UNCG’s colleges, and 35 senators each representing their specific class standing or area of representation.

The Legislative Branch works with students, faculty, administration, and various clubs and organizations to adopt formal stances on issues of concern and enact legislation necessary to promote the general welfare of the student body.
